His mind was turned off voluntarily as he rested. The sound of the ocean's waves engulfing the rocky shoreline and then the water quickly receding back to the main body of water.
The sun slowly rised on the island and soon his hiding spot was exposed to the earth's sun. In England, this is one of the first places that gets the sun. In a small crevice on the structure known as Stonehenge rests a simple life form, an arthropod.
But this arthropod is not of this earth. The simple arthropod has brought both the greatest of heroes and villains to their knees. He simply calls himself Mr.Mind.
On this day he awakes from his peaceful hibernation to the warmth of the sun. His incredible brain turns on and begins to scheme.
He sends out pulses of mental energy like a beacon of a lighthouse, searching for new allies and enemies.
The worm remembers before his hibernation, how he embarrased many of earth's heroes; Spiderman, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Batman and teamed with several villains calling themselves the Monster Society.
It ended or so it seemed in Gotham City. He knows his closest ally, Stegron the Dinosaur Man, is nearby and he calls to him telepathically.
He schemes about world domination, who he can ally himself with and who will oppose him. He wonders if the Monster Society has gone on without him in his absence. He can not tell as they are all out of his telepathic range.
The worm decends from his resting spot as crows look on. He instantly throws up a telepathic forcefield as he could easily be a fine meal for one of the avians. He makes his way to the top of the Stonehenge structure and begins a telepathic beacon as he looks skyward to the sun.
His call goes out to his allies.
A smirk of arrogance crosses the alien caterpillar's face as he embraces the natural surroundings of his new home.
'I am renewed, rejuvenated and regenerated. This time Mr.Mind will rule all and this planet will be mine!!!'
The worm shows a bit of a strain as he attempts to amplify his telepathic scan...
'What is that earthling saying, oh yes...
Just like riding a bike!!!'
