Marc Spector was a killer then he became a hero. He began dealing vengeance in the name of his lord Khonshu, the God of Vengeance and God of the Moon. But that was before he lost himself. In an alley in the rain he crossed a line. He killed an evil man. Bushman. Still recovering from injuries suffered in that battle two years ago and haunted by visions that may be a God or a mad ghost of his past Marc Spector is Moon Knight once more. Now Marc Specter endlessly scours the night, searching for evil. His body and very identity shattered from his service to Khonshu, who controls his life...and just may bring about his death.
Grant Mansion, Long Island
“We didn’t mean to trespass, really.” Sam swallowed as he stared into the white eyes of Moon Knight’s mask. “Tell him Dean--“ Dean sat up, rubbing the side of his head and rotating his shoulder at the same time. “What my brother Sammy here meant to say is we were hunting the wolf and in the process trespassed into this batcave or whatever you want to call it? No offense meant but we go where the hunt leads us.” Moon Knight stared at the brothers for some time before the tension could visibly be seen exiting his muscles and his entire body relaxed. “I can understand wanting to continue the pursuit no matter what gets in your way.” Dean smiled and looked at his brother. “My type of guy--” “But this wolf is my friend.” Moon Knight interrupted Dean. “I will see no harm come to him, nor will I allow it.” “Looks like you did a pretty bang up job doing that yourself there Moon Man.” Dean smirked but it was easily discerned that he was not the happiest at the moment. “Listen we only ran across him while looking into another hunt. This can all be reasoned out between us like adults right no more fighting?” Sam glanced back and forth between them both. “I’ve really had enough fighting.” Moon Knight knelt down beside his friend who had stopped struggling against his restraints and was beginning the transformation back into a man. It would a little bit longer before he gathered his thoughts together and was able to tell him himself. “Where did you find him?” Jack lay on the ground and mumbled something in his deliria. “We were looking into some reports of zombie at an old warehouse and factory a few miles from here--” Dean interjected. “Real Dawn of the Dead type zombies too well they don’t run like in the new flick but that was piece of crap if you ask me. Running zombies--” “Dean!” Sam stopped his brother before he could continue his rant and Dean shrugged his shoulders and let his younger brother continue. “I think there is a voodoo priest involved because of what we found and when I broke the circle your friend escaped.” “And here we are.” Dean crossed his arms over his chest. “How about giving me my gun back?” Moon Knight looked at both brothers before settling his gaze on Sam as he slid the pistol to Dean with his foot. “Voodoo makes sense. That would explain why he’s asking for Jericho Drumm.” Dean picked up the pistol, wiping it off as he put it back in its holster. “Man I could have sworn he was saying Jerry Lewis is scum.” Sam stared at Dean until Dean shook his head and looked away. “What’s Jericho Drumm?” “Not what but who.” Moon Knight greeting his friends’ opening eyes with a stare and a slight nod of his head. “Jericho Drumm is better known as Brother Voodoo. So you’re assumption that there is a voodoo priest involved was right.” Sam shot Dean a smile showing off that he was right once again. Dean stuck his tongue out at his brother while no one else could see him. “But that doesn’t explain what teenwolf was doing there?” “I sent him there. I had information that one of my foes had recently sought the help of a voodoo priest who is a master of the dark arts.” “That who this Brother Voodoo is?” Sam asked. “No Jericho Drumm is on the side of light…at least for now. The dark priest goes by the name Toro. He would be the source of your zombie infestation.” Jack’s voice sounded like he hadn’t drank anything in several days. “He put me down before I knew it. It was everything I could do not to rip you boys to shreds before I got my senses back.” “We took it easy on you too.” Dean didn’t like knowing that he had been beaten so easily and the werewolf wasn’t even trying. “Trust me we appreciate it even if my brother doesn’t sound like it, Mister…?” Sam held out his hand. The newly unbound man took Sam’s hand and shook it. “Russell. Jack Russell.” “So are we done with the hippie love fest yet? And please for the love of God someone get him a towel. I think we still have a few zombies to--“ Then it hit Dean and he snapped his head around to look at the naked man. “Wait a minute! Did you say your name was Jack Russell?” Jack stared with out blinking. Sam turned to his brother. “Dean this is no time for--” Dean’s laughter was boisterous as his head reeled back. “Come on Jack Russell? You’re named afrer a breed of dog and you’re a werewolf? Did I fall down a rabbit hole and land in the land of sitcoms and me not know about it? Seriously who comes up with this stuff?” “I’ve never heard that one before.” Jack did not appear to be in the best of humor. “Its Rustoff actually. Russell was a common name when I took it.” “Dean!” Sam nearly shouted. “There are more important things to think about right now. I’m sorry Mr. Russell my brother Dean can be a little well you know…” “Jack Freaking Russell.” Dean smiled as he repeated the name again. Then he noticed someone was missing. “Hey were did the White Knight go?” Sam looked around. “I don’t know I never saw him leave.” “Get used to that. That’s just one of the things he’s good at.” The brothers looked at Jack then heard a sound behind them and turned.
“If we are to end this we must do it now.” Moon Knight stood. His stance read regal yet his body language said brutal. “Jack tell them where they can find Brother Voodoo. I’ll look in on Toro and his horde. Once you’ve recovered from your wounds you may join us as well.” Jack nodded as he motioned for Sam to come closer. “It shouldn’t be too long of a drive for you two.” “No way am I leaving Eddie here to take off on us.” Dean stated and from his demeanor it was obvious he was not going to budge as he tossed Sam the keys. “Sam you fetch the voodoo brother. I’ll stay here to make sure he doesn’t have another relapse.” Moon Knight nodded then turned his cape flipping behind him as he ran deeper into the darkness toward his hanger. Sam stared at his brother then backed away and headed up the stairs toward the Impala. Once alone Jack turned to look at Dean who was staring at him intently. “You harbor ill will toward my kind?” “I harbor ill will toward all monsters.” Dean sat on the chair and leaned forward. “Now Sammy on the other hand has a thing for wolf girls but that’s a story to get into later once your decent. I don’t need any surprises popping up if you catch my drift.” Jack just stared at Dean. “You couldn’t stop me if I chose to leave you know that don’t you?” Dean smiled and pulled a small shiny item from his breast pocket and smiled.
“I got about fifteen of these that says I could.” -TBC-
