An unknown amount of time after the fight with the Power Girl doppelganger, Billy awoke to find himself starring at the ceiling of his bedroom. “What happened?” he groaned out, holding his head to try and stabilize the throbbing sensation that only added to his overall uncomfortable state.
Sitting at his side, Teddy quickly moved his hands to keep the young spell caster from moving too much. “Careful there,” he tried to keep the dark haired teen calm, concern apparent in his voice, “just relax, try to take it easy. What’s the last thing you remember?”
“Uh, walking home together?” the teen replied with uncertainty laced in his voice, lying back down in his bed; at this moment in time, familiarity was a welcomed friend.
“Heh,” Theodore laughed somewhat awkwardly, “I guess Power Girl slammed you around a lot harder than I thought,” he continued.
“What? Why were we fighting Power Girl? Isn’t she one of the good guys?”
“Usually, yea. I’m not really sure how to explain this, mostly because I don’t even know myself, but we kind of found her tearing apart the Avengers’ Mansion. She seemed different, and when you asked her if she was okay, she kind of attacked us. Before she completely killed us, we were able to get out of there; you recited a teleportation spell as I kept her off of you.”
“Thanks, glad you’re okay,” Billy smiled weakly, placing his right hand on the blonde’s knee.
“Right back at ya,” Teddy squeezed the hand Wiccan placed on his own knee.

“That’s pretty intense stuff, guys, but we definitely don’t have what it takes to take on Power Girl; especially a supped up, rogue Power Girl,” Kate states, after listening to her partners’ recount of what had taken place mere days before.
“What? Kate Bishop doesn’t want to go on a mission that fell into our laps?” Eli poked at the female Hawkeye, “I think this is a first.”
“I’m all for The Young Avengers and all, but we have to look at this one realistically. And the fact of the matter is, we are not ready to take on someone of that caliber at the moment; we should really leave this up to the big leagues? Honestly, she’s out of our league...”
“We don’t know what happened to her, how do we know that other supers aren’t under the same kind of mind control?”
“Even more of a reason for us to sit this one out! If we can’t handle one of them, what makes you think we can tangle with the rest of them as a whole? On a good day, we might be able to take down the weakest member of any given team.”
“Rumors are circulating that the Justice League disbanded a while back; though I’ve also heard that someone else is currently trying to form a new League.”
“Yea, well that does no good for us now,” Teddy answered his boyfriends’ comment, “We already had our butts handed to us, and if there’s no League than they can’t exactly stop Power Girl.”
Without anyone really noticing, Stature and Vision walked into their conversation. “So what’s all of the commotion about?” the blonde female questioned.
“Taking down Super Girl, apparently,” the dark haired girl replied a bit annoyed that her opinion was being pushed aside.
“No need,” the robotic teenager replied as questioning eyes fell upon him, “the hero known as Vixen has taken care of that situation. ”
“Well, that’s taken care of,” Billy was relieved to reiterate after being informed, “Movie night?” he suggested, glancing around at his best friends.
“Ooo, scary movie,” Teddy mused, a smile finding its way onto his face.
“I’m in,” Kate chimed in “but I want cheese pizza.”
Without further hesitation, the teenagers crowded the couch in front of the television and enjoyed a night of flicks and snacks.
