A man stands in a bedroom, bottle of vodka in one hand, gun in the other. The room is dark and so is the sky outside. Not a star in sight, just the way he likes it...

Mystery Man: Things will never be the same. I've killed my family, I've ruined the company, and my wife broke up with me. I will get my revenge on this city. No one and nothing will ever be the same. Nope. Not while i run this town. I'll have every criminal behind me, and i will destroy this blasted hell hole to the ground, and kill every person who stands in my way. no one will ever stand up to me. they will be too afraid. i will have more power than the mayor himself... i want revenge... i will get it... no matter what it takes...

Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne is working on his bat-suit.. minor adjustments here and there will perfect his suit and make him almost invincible. we hope...

Bruce: there we go... that will more than likely do the trick... what do you think Alfred?

Alfred: Well Master Bruce its not about what i think... im not the one fighting crime every night.

Bruce: touche Alfred..

Just then a NewsFlash pops onto the T.V. screen:

Reporter: This is Breaking News. We have just gotten word from one of our field reporters saying that Gothams biggest bank, Gotham Federal, has been broken into and there are hostages. Nothing else has been reported.

Bruce: Sounds like a job for Batman...

Alfred: Can't hurt sir.

Bruce Wayne puts on the suit and jumps in the batmobile. he drives to Gotham Federal and parks in an alley... he then shots a grappling hook up to the rooftop and finds an air-duct... He's inside..

Mystery Man: I want EVERY last dime that you have in this place, and i want it NOW!

Teller 1: sir we told you its in the vault...

Mystery Man: THEN GET IT OUT GODDAMN IT!

Teller 1: ye...yes sir!...

Mystery Man: And as long as you cooperate, you can all live!

Just then Batman falls through the air duct

Batman: I think they will be living no matter what you sa...

Just then Batman looks at the Mystery Mans face.. it appears to be a mask in the shape of a black skull, smile included! just then the teller returns with the money...

Teller 1: Here sir...

Mystery Man: hahaha THANKS BUCKO! hahahahahah

Batman: Who are you? i suggest you drop that money...

Mystery Man: You havent heard of me? oh well of Course! They call me THE BLACK MASK![/u

Batman: Sounds to me like you have nothing else to do but put that money down and turn yourself in...

Black Mask: HAH not a chance... in fact... ill be leaving right about...

NOW!

Just then a truck bursts through the wall and into the bank... Black Mask jumps in and it takes off, speeding out of the bank and down the road..

Batman: Damn, I'll need to give chase...

Batman runs to the alley and gets in the car, but by the time he gets back, the truck is no where in sight...

later that night...

Bruce: Alfred he was right there, and he escaped!

Alfred: was anyone hurt?

Bruce: no but im sure someone will be in the future... there was something about this guy... he seems, ruthless...

Alfred: Good luck Master Bruce... Good luck...
