Yet despite all of these different labels, beneath it all is just a man, whose only real super human ability is the natural gift for engineering and intellect he was born with. His name is John Henry Irons and he is part of the justice league. For the last few days however his tasks have taken him far from the fights on the planet below, instead his days are made up of repairing and restoring key systems. “John, I’m sorry to interrupt your work but power of the main fusion reactor appears to have gone off line” “J’onn is this your way of saying I need to stop what I’m doing and repair the fusion reactor instead?” “Without the fusion reactor to maintain power reserves, we will slowly lose synchronise orbit. It is vital that…” John decides that the Martians voice that penetrates his head without the need for talking is one that doesn’t need to keep interrupting his work. “Understood J’onn I’ll get right on it” ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Watchtower: Central Control Room: ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ His green skin makes him distinguishable to everyone; he has slowly become the heart of any formation of the league. He is the Martian Manhunter, the last of his race and is Currently coordinating the new league’s members, placing them wherever they are best suited. Right now however he is currently taking a call from a government agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. “This is a private channel, how did you get this line?” “I already told you Martian, we have bigger problems” “I heard you the first time Maria Hill, and I shall dispatch a member of the league as soon as I have had time to analyze the threat” “You silly little green man, the threat is potential a rogue superman, he seems to be operating alone, but the truth is he could turn against us at anytime” “What is it you would have me do?” “Dispatch the best you have, take him down until my team can arrive” “And then what, you would take him prisoner” “This is not the time for a debate on ethics, the man just broke out of a hospital bed, only to race into space and throw a god damn comet in to a black hole” “So he is a hero” “You may see it like that, all I see is a man strong enough to tear a city apart, flying around my head like a god. Now either you bring him down, or I will” The signal goes dead, and the Martian becomes lost deep in his own thoughts, his own telepathic scans revealed an almost unstable element to the man in question, yet his actions would see him as a hero, perhaps even a possible recruit. In the end he decides it best to ere on the side of caution, if nothing else Maria’s fears deserve a basic investigation. In minutes his thoughts take action, his own telepathic powers reaching out across the vast space to the member of the newly formed league closest to the threats position. “J’onn now is really not the time” Mari’s thoughts project the feeling of anger, as if she is almost forcing out the words. “I understand, however the threat requires an immediate response and you are the nearest member of the league” “Save the talk J’onn, I’m on my way” Mari almost has to scream at the woman sent to help her get into the dress, as she demands to be taken back out. She makes her excuses before leaving one of New York’s biggest fashion events. Having left the building she then begins to race at the speed of the cheetah along the city’s streets, following J’onn’s constant telepathic directions. A few minutes later and she is able to see the man in question streak back towards earth side, he lands with an impact that depicts his strength. Standing this close Mari would swear she could almost feel his power. “Ethan, Ethan Crane?” Vixens voice is mild, almost timid The man known as Supreme turns his head towards the voice that speaks his name, curiously he wonders who else knows more about him and his history than even himself. “I am him, who are you?” his voice echo’s, as if the air itself is struggling to contain his raw energy. “My name is Vixen, I’m a member of the Justice League. My friends want me to ask that you would stay where you are. Until a member of the government agent S.H.I.E.L.D is able to speak with you” “Why?” The simplicity of the question throws her; in truth she has no idea why S.H.I.E.L.D would want words with a man who seemingly just saved earth from a falling piece of space rock. All she knows is that the agency has concerns and until those fears are calmed, then this man needs to stand down. “I don’t know why, but right now even when your saving people, I do know you’re scaring them” “And if I simply wore a red and blue uniform with an S on my chest would that help?” “Listen I’m sure all of this can be sorted out, if you would just…” “Enough of this, all I want is to be left alone” The man goes to take to the skies, his rash actions causes Vixen to do the same. “J’onn the guy’s bolting can you stun him telepathically” “Not at this distance and his mind seemed to be in a state of flux, I can’t create a stable lock. But perhaps I can stun him momentarily, Mari you need to contain him until I can send more of the League.” “Just stun him beautiful and I’ll take care of the rest” The line goes dead and as Vixen’s eyes turn to the sky for a sign, she suddenly has to speed away as the body of Supreme descends towards her in a free fall. “Ok Mari, no problem, hell just last week you took down Wonder Woman, ELEPHANT” with that she charges towards the fallen hero, unaware that his eyes are open and his body is now readying for war.
