The speeding meteor seems to barely grow in the distance as Supreme stares out at it, thinking dispose of it. The other consciousness speaks to Supreme from within... "It's on a collision course with Earth, we need to prevent it from getting to it's destination."
Until this point Ethan had not second guessed the nature of the voice that came to him in the past few hours, but he suddenly starts to question where it gets it's information. "How do you know all of this? Why are you helping me? What do you want?" Ethan asks the entity in the same form of thought powered communication it used with him.
With a trace of urgency, the voice replies, "I know it's all confusing, and I can reveal more later, but the gist is; there is two prophesies, laid out with the creation of myself and my siblings. One has to deals with the events that have came to be, and have yet to become, they way things are meant to be, balanced, and right by all accounts. But the second prophecy is one of turmoil, death, and destruction. They exist in a physical form, if that would set you at ease? The writings are old, and fairly vague. One passage states that "from the far reaches of reality will come a massive stone, one that holds the power to create, and discreate, the power to give or take power..." that would be in reference to the Supremium that gave you your powers, but has taken the lives of many others who attempted to lay hands upon it. The passage continues... "... this, the second of such stones, will strike the Earth, and out of the crater that it creates, will rise the nemesis of man." I take this to mean, Darius Dax, and in your current state, he could kill you if he returned, powered by Supremium."
While this does catch Supreme of guard, it strikes him as disheartening, and odd at once. "What do you mean, 'you think'? I thought you were a 'Keeper of Time'? Don't you know what was, is, and will be, and all that good stuff?"
"Not precisely, myself and several of my siblings follow the prophecy of Natural Order, and know the guide lines for that reality. There are others that follow this second, chaotic prophecy, but unfortunately only one can come to fruition..."
Trying to make sense of all this, Supreme pays strict attention to every word spoken. Still gazing out at the fiery mass of Supremium, hovering in the vacuum of space, millions of miles from anything, clinging to every word that enters his mind, Supreme pieces it together gradually. "So, you don't really get involved physically? Just sort of 'nudge' things back into their natural order?"The moment he asks, he's made aware that this is the reason why the voice said more would be revealed in time, it must be a strain to keep such close contact with someone so distant.
"Yes..." Comes the familiar, now fading voice. Just know that we have vested in you, enough power to keep the natural order... but you lack the experience to deal with some of the things that the dark prophecy could through at you... that's why I'll try to keep guiding you."
And then Supreme knows that the voice is gone, he tries a couple of times to talk to it, but receives no answer. Regathering himself, Supreme soars off at what must be near light speeds, towards the on coming meteor. His left fist cocks back in preparation to strike a dismantling blow, when suddenly he seizes up, and glides to a halt.
"If I was to hit this thing with all I've got, that would just make debris, and I can't have hundreds of shards of this deadly material just floating about."
Realizing that hundreds, or possibly thousands of chunks of Supremium are far more risk then this one huge one, Supreme begins looking over the barren scenery. Magnifying his surroundings, tens of times, scanning for the safest route for him to take this deadly material. Then he spots a black hole, the thing must be an entire solar system away.
With deftness an expertise that he didn't know was there, Supreme swoops underneath the ball of alien material, latching on with both hands, he settles the thing onto his back, the image reminiscent of the Atlas sculpture. It takes a moment to steer the mass off it's trajectory, but in seconds it is sailing off to parts unknown.
Not many people are comfortable with the notion of Black Holes, Supreme is no exception. Pausing a good distance from this diabolical matter eater, Supreme hefts his cargo off his shoulders, then, still gripping in in both hands, begins to spin like a top, gaining momentum up for the release, causing all that effort to go into the forward momentum of the Meteor. Not much momentum is needed however, as the natural suction of the black hole takes hold of the huge rock, and takes it down into it's unforgiving embrace.
