It's a strange feeling, having the earth rushing up to meet you at over one hundred miles per hour. A feeling made even stranger when you know how to fly, but can't quite remember how.
Belar, the voice that mysteriously popped into Ethan Crane's mind had convinced him that he needed to flee through the eighth story window in his hospital room, but Ethan hadn't counted on needing a refresher on flight. There's mere seconds between body and pavement, but every second is filled with the repeated. "How do I fly, How do I fly, How do I fly..." directed seemingly to no one, but the voice of Belar answered from the recesses of Ethan's mind. "Just visualize yourself flying, remember how it felt, and try to recreate that feeling. It'll come to you."
Ethan tightly squeezes his eyelids together, remembering down to the last detail how flight had felt, if he didn't know any better, he'd swear he could feel the air parting across his head as it did when he took flight in a vertical path. "Open your eyes, Ethan." the now familiar voice of Belar instructs him. As he opens his his eyes ever so slowly, Ethan realizes that he is now hovering what must be miles above St. Louis.

Still very much jilted by the sight of seeing what she thought was invincible pained by something unseen by her, Maxine continue to flee out through the hospital main entrance. She'd just rounded the corner of the hospital, on her way back to the parking garage, when the sky began to rain shards of glass. The street, sidewalk, and a few pedestrians were pelted with tiny chunks of glass before Maxine's eyes. Then, turning her gaze skyward, the image of a falling man came into sight, his arms at his sides, and his legs out stretched behind him, as if he'd been shot from a cannon aim at the ground from the skies above. This man's features grew more familiar as he approached the sidewalk at a quickening speed. Just when this man was surely destined to be scraped off the sidewalk, his entire body jerked towards the heavens, like a hang glider caught by a sudden gust of gale force winds, and in the blink of an eye he was gone. Still looking skyward, a slight smile crossing her face, Maxine breathlessly whispers a single word. "Supreme!"

Hovering still, a mile and a half over the city of Saint Louis, Ethan Crane is overcome with a feeling of rejuvenation as he looks over the city below in amazement. "What now?" He asks Belar.
"I say we continue toward the Heavens, you need to get reacquainted with your powers."
"I was afraid you'd say that." Ethan says, more to test how things sound at this altitude then out of distaste for communicating telepathically with cosmic entity Belar. And with barely a thought, Ethan presses upward, soaring through the small wisps of clouds, startling a few birds on his way. "How far do I go?" Ethan asks, testing his voice at near sonic speeds of flight.
"Until your closer to the moon than you are to Earth." Ethan doubts the thought of leaving orbit for a second, but it dawns on him that Belar wouldn't ask the impossible of him, so he piles on the speed and the oxygen thins as the smell of pure ozone grows more pungent. Both fists raised above his head now, Ethan pushes on, reaching that invisible barrier of ozone, that sets his pale green patient's robe ablaze in an instant, but leaves him otherwise no worse for the wear. He reaches a goodly distance and pauses to admire the beauty of Terra Firma, admiring the polar caps, the vast array of colors shading our planet, weather currents drifting from this direction to the next. When Belar interrupts his thoughts... "You seem to have a knack for loosing your clothing, don't you?"
Ethan glances down, but tries not to cover up, as there would be no point in it, with being so far removed from everyone else. "The paper thin material that they had me in wasn't meant for leaving Earth the way it did. I don't suppose you could..." Ethan stops trying to speak, remembering that space is a vacuum.
"It's okay, there's nothing that you can say, or try to say that I don't hear first. And, I don't see why I couldn't give you a more proper attire." Ethan blinks once, and when his eyes reopen, he is now clad in the familiar ivory color spandex, with wide crimson stripe starting at one shoulder, and running to the opposite side's lower abdomen, and circling around his back to rejoin on the shoulder it began on. Ethan spreads his forearms open, clench-fisted staring at gleaming gold bracers. The familiar nudge at his neck brings a big hand up to investigate the thick cord across his collar that, in conjunction with a golden disc seated on either shoulder, holds a long, billowing crimson cape securely at Supreme's back. "It's mostly ectoplasm, a nearly indestructible substance, so you won't have to worry about the reentry. Now, that you're on the right track, you have a test approaching"
"A test, what do you mean by 'test'?" The voice in his mind directs his attention towards a far off object, that at firsts looks like your average star. "Look closer Supreme." In a subconscious effort to strain to see the object, Ethan leans forward, squinting his eyes. As if pressing his eyes up to telescopes, Ethan peers off into the far reaches of the galaxy, and sees that this 'star' is an asteroid, and the glow about it is eerily familiar to Ethan. "That's right Supremium."
Without any instructions, Ethan knows what needs to be done next. This thing cannot be allowed near Earth, for one the impact could prove devastating, and two, the effects of close contact could be fatal for anyone unaccustomed to the substance. There was a third, more terrifying scenario, one where it lands on Earth, without a hitch, and someone happens upon it, and gains powers equal or surpassing those of Supreme's... that person could be anyone at all.
