The demonstation had been made. The power of Vibranium was evident. Grodd dismissed the Monster Society and sat in achair at the head of the table grinning from ear to ear.

'I read your every thought simian. The vibranium business is going to be a lucrative one. Should we put step one in to motion?', Mr.Mind was affixed on the briefcase.

'Yes. We have to start somewhere, right?', Grodd reached down from under the table and pulled a larger saucer shaped metallic object.
'Look at it, a carbon copy of the Avenger's own shield with the exception of ours being made of pure vibranium.'

'Yes, there is nothing Mr.Mind can't put together. Who will be utilizing the Vibranium Shield?', Mr.Mind asked, although he already knew the answer.

Grodd looked at the worm with a cocky look..'Me of course. Who else would have the skills?'

'Who indeed? And the Vibranium Super Pitch, who will be utilizing that?', Mr.Mind quarried.

'You and Deacon. Who else can operate that thing other then myself? If Langstrom is within 50 miles of the Super Pitch, he'll come a calling.' Grodd nodded his head and turned to Deacon, the Human Fly.

'You are ready with the tranquilizers? No one has been able to communicate with the Man-Bat. He is fast, sneaky and savage.'

Deacon looked at his Gorilla leader and nodded. He adjusted the gauntlets on his wrists revealing several darts.
'One Bat coming up.", Deacon smiled.

'Let us go then. I must return and continue my study to find out why the super types in this city are always one step ahead of us and the others.', Mr.Mind inriquely said.

GOTHAM DIAMOND EXCHANGE--PAST CLOSING TIME

The doors to the luxurious building silently moved with the wind. The doors had been ripped from their hinges. The backup lights flashed like beacons inside the building.

The alarm rang for a few seconds and then stopped as quickly as it had started.

A large, lumbering figure moved within the building. The figure hummed a tune as he made his way to the building's exit.

With a sack in hand the figure made his way to the doors that had been made useless. Sirens filled the air.

An unusual light flickered at the door that caused the figure to stop. The light of a fire blocked the intruder's path. A fiery costumed figure stood before the intruder and with a wave of his fiery sword the intruder knew that he was dealing with AZREAL!!!

'I don't know who you are but I do know that you are going straight to jail!!', Azreal said as he drew his sword in front of him and raised his gauntlet.

The figure growled at Azreal and pounded his chest. The light from Azreal's sword revealed the identity of the intruder as Grodd.

Grodd held a Green shield with fiery eyes decaled on it.
'This is not what I planned. How many of you watch over this city? Where is the Batman, a Batgirl, a Robin or a Canary? Instead I get you!'
Grodd snarled at his opposition.

There was not expression from Azreal, he leapt forward and swung his sword at Grodd.

The move caught the ape-man off guard. He managed to defend the attack with his shield. The sword connected with the shield resulting in a spark of flame and ear piercing echo of metal clanging.

The sound ripped at Azreal, causing him to fall back, opening the door way for the super gorilla.

Grodd moved amazingly quick for his size and slipped past Azreal and out on to the streets. A police car barrelled down the street at the ape and fish tailed before hitting him.

Azreal regained his footing and gave chase to the ape. More police cars could be seen coming.

The officer exited the car and made his way to Grodd.

'Stand back, I have the situation under control officer!' Azreal urged.

Grodd took an offensive stance toward the officer and then shrugged his shoulders. The officer's arms each mutated and formed large sledges and flung them toward Azreal...

CLAYFACE!!!!!!.. Azreal took a defensive posture as the wave of clay moved toward him...
