Back to Basics

Arrowette: "I'm so bored, we haven't had any action in weeks."

The sounds of grumbles could be heard amongst all the other young justice members, she had been right, and they all knew it. The grumbles were quickly drown out by Player 1...Winner, Impulse and Superboy had been playing video games to pass the time. Bored out of her mind, Wonder Girl decided to stir up a little fun, so without a second thought, she kicked Arrowette, and acted innocent.

Arrowette: "Ow! What the heck was that for?"

Wonder Girl: "I have no idea what you're talking about Cissie."

Arrowette: "You clearly kicked me, don't act stupid."

Wonder Girl: "Watch it missy, don't be calling me stupid."

Just as the fight looked like it was going to get out of hand, Superboy had decided he needed to step in to break up the two girls before they had done anything rash.

Superboy: "Cassie, if you kicked Cissie, just say you're sorry"

Wonder Girl: "Oh sure, just take her side why don't you"

Secretly, Wonder Girl was thinking to herself Why is he always taking her side in these fights, if he just backed me up once, in anything, I'd be able to show him my true feelings towards him, it's so frustrating

Superboy: "Well if you kicked her, whose side am I suppose to take?"

Wonder Girl: "Why didn't you just stay out of it, and let us settle it ourselves."

Impulse knew this fight was getting out of hand, and he could clearly see that Superboy's attempt at breaking up the fight was a total failure. Shaking his head in disbelief of how childish everyone was acting, he got up and decided he too would have to step in and attempt to fix this.

Impulse: "Do you all hear yourself, you sound like a group of three year olds fighting over which slot the square fits in."

Impulse gave a little snicker at his comment, then looked up to see the face of three very angry team mates. The sheer sight of knowing if he said anything else would have three people all running after him, though he was confident they couldn't catch him, made him pull his head back in, like a turtle to it's shell.

Wonder Girl: "Well I guess there's only one way to tell for sure if it was me."

Wonder Girl pulled back her foot, and gave Arrowette another kick, that made Arrowette fall over holding her knee in pain.

Wonder Girl: "Was the kick something like that?"

Arrowette: "You're dead girl!"

Arrowette stood up, and pulled back a fist that looked like it could knock Wonder Girl's head clean off, but before she could unleash it, Superboy grabbed hold of her by the waist.

Superboy: "Slow down killer, we can settle this."

Arrowette squirmed, kicking and screaming, wanting to get her hands on Wonder Girl, but with the sound of an opening door, the whole bunch of them stopped dead in their tracks. Robin had walked in, and had seen the brunt end of what was going on.

Robin: "Hey! I don't care what's going on here, all I know is whatever happened, you better make up, because we're a team, and we don't need to be acting like this."

Impulse: "So what brings you here Robin, is there an emergency we should know about?"

Robin: "No, still no crime, it's been quiet...to quiet"

Superboy: "Speaking of quiet, has anyone seen Secret lately?"

Robin: "You mean she isn't with you guys?"

With Robin saying that, Arrowette, Impulse, Wonder Girl, and Superboy look at each other and without delay respond.

All: "Ut Oh...."
