__Gotham City__Gotham Metro Bank__2:00 PM__
Mark Austin pulled down his hood and became 10 again. Ace was in the front, He motioned for the rest of the gang to get behind him.
“From now on we are the Royal Flush Gang. You don’t give anyone your names except for your code names. What I say goes, anyone messes up and Ill kill you if I have to.”
The group all nodded. Mark knew there was no turning back now.”
Ace pressed his massive frame up against the back door. They were in the alley, under an awning giving them a brief reprieve from the storm. 10 wiped water from his face and glanced back at his car. Puzzlingly he noticed a flock of crows were now roosting on the hood. He put it in the back of his mind, and mentally prepared himself for what was about to happen.
Ace kicked in the door with a powerful thrust of his leg. The door blew inward and the gang burst into the bank. Jack led the charge. He turned a corner and slung a wicked blade into the chest of the security officer. King and Queen sprinted into the middle of the lobby and began firing their pistols into the air. 10 and Ace brought up the rear. Ace began to laugh.
“Everyone down on the floor, this is a robbery. If anyone trips a silent alarm, I swear I will kill everyone in this room at the sound of a siren.”
Everyone began screaming a ducking for cover. Ace barked out orders.
“Queen, get the tellers drawers. King, Jack, crowd control. 10, get into the vault and grab whatever you can.”
The Royal Flush Gang moved quickly. 10 was more scared of Ace than of getting caught. He drew his pistol and forced the bank manager to open the vault. He began stuffing sacks with as much money as he could. He heard screams and gun shots from outside. Suddenly Jack popped his head into the vault.
“Let’s go, we’ve got trouble.”
10 bolted for the door and as he ran through the lobby grimaced at the site of the bodies. Ace had killed another security guard as well as two tellers and a patron. He was stacking the bodies up in the corner. On top he laid a playing card. 10 stared at it as he ran to the door. It had a single heart on it and he knew it was an ace of hearts, a calling card.
“10, King and Queen are getting the car. Get ready to load the score.”
The door front door burst open and King emerged. 10 began tossing the vault bags and then leapt into the backseat. Sirens were approaching in the distance. After the gang was loaded, Queen sped off running red lights and trying to get lose the cops.

Batman and Robin walked around the bank lobby, careful not to step in any of the evidence piles. The bodies had been moved out and the GCPD was about to play the security tapes for him.
There had never been a great deal of camaraderie between him and the police, but with special cases like this Gordon often called him in to help. Robin held in a plastic bag an ace of hearts playing card. He was trying to look with his trained eye for any finger prints but there were none available.
Commissioner Gordon stepped up next to Batman and quietly spoke.
“They killed 5 in all; the witnesses say they were dressed in white as the face cards in a deck. The calling card matches the motif. I think we are dealing with another reincarnation of the Royal Flush Gang. This time a particularly violent one.”
Batman walked the scene again with Gordon in tow.
“Ill pull my files on the last known members and see what I can gather. Please forward the surveillance tapes to our prearranged email, I will draw them from there with the password you gave me. Also forward any finger prints you might discover. I have seen everything I need to see here.”
Gordon nodded and Batman turned to the door. Robin fell into step behind him and they both stepped into the batmobile. The wheels spun as it took off in a show of horsepower.
“B, what do you think?”
“It is not the former RFG, this job was well executed and violent. I need to do some research.”
The police scanner began to rumble with communication.
“I guess it will have to wait. With this constant bad weather, people are becoming hostile. I think we will have another long night ahead of us.”
__Gotham City__Batcave__11:00 PM__
The batmobile pulled into the cave and Batman immediately saw Nightwing sitting at the computer. He leapt out of the car and began to undress. Nightwing didn’t usually come to the cave, so Bruce knew that something was up. He came up beside him and quickly scanned the screen. Nightwing told him what was going on and Bruce made a note to research Harkness, the original captain Boomerang.
Suddenly Oracle’s line began to buzz. Bruce immediately returned to the cabinet and began to suit up. He heard the message and ran for the batmobile. Nightwing was a step behind him and they leapt into the car together. Nightwing leaned over as Batman stepped on the gas.
“Just like old times huh?”
Bruce allowed a slight smile, something he hadn’t done in a while.
“We have to hurry, Dinah will need our help.”
