"Well, well, you in your white costume, the ying to my yang black costume."
Shadow Thief quickly moved across the floor in shadow form and re-emerged by the Moon Knight as his shadow. Moon Knight jumped back but the shadow moved with him.
Shadow Thief raised an arm, the shadow of Moon Knight's cape followed, and with a flick of his wrist caused the real cape to begin choking its master.
"Shadow Thief, egomaniac able to manipulate light or the lack of light into solid objects, can pass through solid objects... think Spectre!', Moon Knight thought to himself as his cape engulfed him, wrapping around his throat.
"Hold tight, are you Rag Man, Bed Sheet Man?.. matters not...", Shadow Thief questioned his unknown foe as he talked into a transmitter.
'I may have one of the Bat's friends.. may need reinforcements.'
As Moon Knight fought the grip of the shadowy cape, he loosened it enough to get leverage, pulling Shadow Thief into a wall.
He hit with a thud.
"I am no friend of BatMan!! I assure you of that!"
With Shadow Thief stunned, Moon Knight took the given seconds to take in some air. He reached into his utility belt..
"Light is this guy's weakness", he thought.
Shadow Thief regained his composure and moved like a black ghost toward the white ghost. He lunged at Moon Knight.
Moon Knight managed to get to a small but powerful flashlight out of his belt and shined it in the eyes of Shadow Thief. This caused him to recklessly follow through with his lunge causing himself and Moon Knight to crash through a window.
Moon Knight managed to shoot off a grappling hook, saving himself from the floor below. Shadow Thief hit the floor and splattered like a puddle of ink. He slowly melted into the floor dissolving away like water into cracks.
Moon Knight pounced on the area of the floor but Shadow Thief had vanished.
"Damn!!"
He looked around and realized that he was in the much publicized restraunt and night club of the Ice Berg Lounge. Large aquariums and a pool of artic props caught Moon Knight's eyes. He heard the sound of large birds honking along with splashing. He turned to see several penguins rush into the water to take cover.
"Beautiful isn't it Whitey?". Shadow Thief's voice could be heard but he could not be seen.
"Give up, you and your Monster Squad are done."
"Not really, Whitey. I rarely make contact with my foes. I made contact with you for a reason. Be ready to face the mindless."
Moon Knight heard a faded click. Suddenly several penguins began squalking. He could hear a faded beeping noise but couldn't zone in on it with the penguin's cries.
He took a defensive posture and scanned the room. It was then that he realized why Shadow Thief made contact with him. Moon Knight found a tracer on his suit.
Behind him he heard a large thud hit the floor. At the restraunt's entrance the doors ripped open. What little light there was reflected a smile of large teeth.
He looked behing him and saw the same.
"Stegron...Killer Croc!!!"
