A few minutes after Kyle fell to the floor, pedestrians made their way up to his apartment, seeing if there was anything they could do.
They found Dorian outside of the apartment, with rubble surrounding him, along with broken pieces of the door, which still had a few parts hanging from the hinges.
The two men walked over the Dorian, and started talking to him, trying to wake him up.
Dorian slowly opened his eyes and began to shift his body, letting out a painful groan as he tried to get up to his feet on his own.
“Hey man, are you okay?” asked one of the good Samaritan that kneeled down to help him up onto his feet.
“Ugh...ooh...that hurt.” said Dorian as he finally made it to his feet with the help of the other two men.
He shook his head, and moved his hand through his hair, trying to remove all the debris. As his hand came down from his face, he looked into the apartment, which now looked like a tornado had arrived.
He stumbled over the broken wood in front of the door and made it through the threshold.
As he looked around, he couldn't see anything, as his shadow covered any light coming in from the hallway lamp outside.
He looked straight forward and noticed a hand that wasn't be covered by his shadow and quickly ran and kneeled down next to the lifeless body.
“Kyle!” He said as he looked at his motionless body on the floor.
The first thing he noticed was his eyes rolling into the back of his head, which is never a good thing.
Dorian tried to lift Kyle, but was unable to as his back was still strained from the impact earlier.
He looked up at the two men still in the hallway outside the door and yelled, “Call an ambulance!”
About 15 minutes later, Kyle was being stretchered out of the apartment and into an ambulance, which was going to take him to the nearest hospital. Dorian said he was fine, but still wanted to ride with Kyle, just to make sure he was alright.
Once they reached the hospital, Dorian was checked out by a doctor and was given the clear to leave the hospital. But still in the back of his head, he thought what happened to Kyle.
After signing all the discharge papers, Dorian made it up to Kyle's room.
With only a few steps into the room, he saw Kyle plugged into different machines, covered in wires and cables connecting his body to different machines, each of them working for a separate reason.
Although Kyle's body seemed lifeless, as if nothing was happening, his mind was still active.
Kyle was having very realistic dreams. He began to have flashbacks of the time he received the power ring, which to this day, has brought nothing but bad things to his life.
He was reliving the moment, looking upon the moment, in the third person, when he was handed the ring by Ganthet.
There was something he needed to figure out from that moment.
It was as if it was being slowed down for him, he shifted his view as if it were some video game, looking around trying to find something.
Outside of his mind, his body began to twitch. Dorian noticed it, thinking it was nothing, decided to try and go back to sleep.
But suddenly, his body began to move more and more, twitching and shifting around.
Dorian quickly rose from the chair he was sitting at and walked next to Kyle.
“Kyle? Kyle?” he said as he tried to hold him down. It wasn't working as he continued to shift and move around, causing Dorian to yell louder and louder, which attracted the attention of the nurse on duty.
She walked in and saw Dorian trying to hold him down. She automatically thought he was trying to do something to Kyle, and called security to the room as she began to check all of his vitals, trying to find what the problem was, if any.
With a quick jolt, Kyle's body once again reverted to his lifeless state.
He laid in the bed, as if nothing happened to him.
As security arrived, the nurse looked back and told them to remove Dorian from the room.
He didn't have an objection, but looked towards Kyle with a confused look on his face, as the guards grabbed him by the arms and escorted him out.
Soon after, the doctor arrived and began to check Kyle as well.
Kyle slowly moved his head to the left, and finally opened his eyes very slowly.
He looked over at the doctor, who was now leering over him.
“You gave us quite a scare there Mr. Rayner.” said the doctor with an odd smile.
Kyle was unable to talk, just looked at him and began to explore the room with his eyes, trying to figure on his own where he was.
As Kyle looked out the window, he once again looked over to the doctor an asked him, “What happened to me?”
The doctor crossed his arms and looked at him with a serious look. “Well, we don't know. I was hoping you could tell me, Kyle?”
Kyle closed his eyes and nodded to say 'no'.
“Well, the important thing is that you are awake now. That's the most important.” said the doctor as he took a walk over to the foot of the bed and picked up Kyle's medical chart.
He lifted the first few pages and began to read, with a very studious look on his face.
After a few minutes of just laying in the bed, Kyle shifted his weight up, trying to sit up. The doctor was still reading all the paperwork, which seemed more important.
Kyle wanted to ask him a question, but seemed hesitant at first.
The doctor quickly looked up at Kyle and asked, “Mr. Rayner, you seem like you have a question?”
Kyle looked at him confused.
Kyle thought, how did he know I had a question? Kyle gave it no more thought as he asked him, “Is it common that people have dreams when they receive blows to the head? Like what happened to me?”
“Well, first of all. What makes you think you took a blow to the head?” asked the doctor. Kyle raised his finger, pointing towards his head, and the obvious bump he had on his forehead.
The doctor snickered and nodded his head, saying 'yes'. He soon walked out and closed the door behind him, not acknowledging Kyle.
Kyle closed his eyes and began to rub his face with this hands, and let out a groan.
Suddenly, a green flash shined inside his eyelids, which startled Kyle and opened them quickly.
He looked around the room, trying to see if there was something surrounding him, giving off a light of some sort.
Once again, green smoke began to protrude from Kyle's eyes. He looked around, when suddenly, everything seemed to slow down to a freeze.
He noticed all of the equipment surrounding him stopped making noises, and his hear monitor wasn't moving.
There was a tap on the window.
Tap...tap...tap...
Kyle heard it. However he didn't want to turn around to see what it was.
Tap...tap...tap...
He took a deep breath and slowly turned his head to see what it was, tapping outside the window.
As soon as he made contact with what was on the other side of the window, a flash shined through, which Kyle quickly raised his hands, to cover his eyes from it.
It overtook the entire room, including Kyle.
Before he could lower his arm from the flash, a familiar voice was heard in the room.
“Hello Kyle.”
Kyle knew hew it was.
“You must find the power ring. Something sinister is about to arrive.”
