The tomb is silent; it has taken two weeks to arrange everything with accordance to the torn pages which I had taken out one of Nabu's spell books before returning. I have gathered the elements and placed each one on the designated direction. The embalming jars that I used to harness their powers glow.
I sit in the middle, these rituals make my skin crawl, the gods that grant me their powers scream like children inside of my head, they tell me this can only end with my death. My life is insignificant if this ritual works. I pick up the knife, its blade forged in the flames of an immortal torch the lines the caverns that lead to the after life. For the first time since I gained my powers I feel pain as the blade runs along the palm of my head. As the blood trickles onto the arcane symbol scrawled onto the tomb's floor I finish the ritual with a single word.
"SHAZAM!" The light is blinding, the sound deafening, and as everything fades to black I sit a mortal. The powers of the gods have gone.
"Lords of Order and Chaos, here me. I demand and audience!" The jars begin to shake as the torches lining the walls of the tomb begin to blow in a wind that is not truly there. "I have gathered the elements, harnessed their powers for you. Now you do my bidding."
The torches around me blow out; ghastly figures float above the embalming jars.
"You have summoned the Lords of Order and Chaos for a reason." Their voices fill my head yet I can not see them speak.
"You want to be reunited with those you love. A noble cause but one that we cannot interfere with." No! This is not supposed to happen they are supposed to bend to my bidding.
"Your fate has already been written. Much grander things await you Adam." The figures shimmer in the air which has become stale.
"NO! I have done as the rituals said; you are supposed to bring them back!" I stand my fist clinching as I do so.
"You do not command us. We are primal forces more powerful then even your Gods!" They bellow, they think I am intimated. I will show them.
"SHAZAM!" The lighting strikes me, I can hear the gods, and I can feel their power.
"Now we shall see who commands who." The power is exhilarating I will destroy each one with my very hands.
"Yes we shall." The figures fade into the nothingness from which they had came, as the tomb begins to shake. The sand around me begins to rise as the stone becomes a live. I fly towards the surface as the tomb of my loved ones begins to sink into the sands of Khandaq. I float as I watch it disappear, I have been a fool.
"ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" It is the sound a death, I turn around to see a creature pulled from the chains of the earth itself. Half of the body is rigid, fully formed, while the other half seems to constantly reshaping its image. A Golem of Order and Chaos. I will show them the cost of their mistake, the cost of crossing Teth-Adam.
My advisors have told me of this place, in the mountains to the north. A group of men organizing, planning and plotting. They think I took my country back without mercy they wish to avenge the comrades which I killed in freeing the people of Khandaq. I will show this insurgency what I do without showing mercy.
They have look outs which spot me as I fly towards the central encampment; the rush of air from the sonic boom I create shatters their ear drums. I do not hear their screams nor do I car.
"He comes!" They shout as the take out their weapons, machine guns and pistols, rockets and grenades. They fire at me, but it does not hurt, the gods who give me my powers are immune to such weapons of man.
I show them no mercy; I take their weapons first, bending the steal with my hands, swatting the rockets away like gnats. The men stand aghast; they did not expect me to come here personally. That would prove to be their last mistake. Tents and rubble blow in the winds as I land on the ground, these men were no better then animals. They deserved fates worse then death.
As I search the rebel outpost for any survivors I hear the sound in the distance, and my mind rushes back to a time when I was still in the Wizards favor, before he imprisoned me.
"ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" I fly towards the sound, questions running through my mind. Only when I see the creature do the questions stop and my instincts take over. It towers above the landscape of Khandaq, as tall as a modern sky scrapper. Half is rigid and formed the other constantly reshaping itself. The creature formed after I tried to resurrect my family from death, a byproduct of the blackest of magics. I killed it once and however it came to be here I must kill it again.
"I defeated you and your gods once Golem and I will do so again!" I strike first the blows hardly make a dent in it. Rock and sand fly into the air as I scream out in a primal roar that would rival the Golems own.
I feel the impact of it against my body; it sends me flying towards the mountain range which I had just come from. The impact hurts, I collide with the side of one my countries mountains. I claw myself outside of the crater, wiping the blood from my lip. I channel all of the power that I can; I will not let this Golem harm any of the people that I have sworn to protect.
"You have hurt me, now I will kill you." I strike the creature’s rigid arm, severing it as I fly through it; the Golem lets out a scream of pain. It tries to retaliate as the shifting side forms a blade, as the blade comes towards me I grab it, and twist ripping another one of the creature’s appendages from its body.
"Tell your masters you have failed for the second time!" I pick up the blade which had fallen to the ground and fly towards the creature, stabbing it through the center of its body. The Golem hits the ground, like an earthquake, the tremors can be felt in at the royal palace hundreds of miles away. As the Golem begins to dissolve back into the elements which made it, I can see the small face form in the sand. I stare at it in disbelief.
"Shiruta...." The words are but a whisper out of my mouth and as quickly as her face was their it is gone again as the Golem fades away.
