If anyone ever reads this message, then know that my death at his hands was a sacrifice well made. For if you are reading this, the human race still lives on. My name is Diana Prince, born on earth in the land of Themyscira, home of the Amazon’s. I was trained to be their champion, a warrior born.
In the years that past I became something more, leaving my homeland I ventured out in to the world, it was there among the rest of the human society that I made my own life, becoming a champion of truth and justice. Other the years I have made many friends and gave birth to an entire league of heroes. I have also made my share of mistakes, some of which would hold consequences far greater than anyone would have imagined. Still in the end the trinity that consisted of myself, Batman and superman always managed to prevail…. That was until today.
Know this; do not judge my killer, as we have no right. He was not born of this world but instead dedicated his entire life to protecting it, many people tried to attack him personally but found his power and determination of will more than they could handle. Still in the end it took but one human and just one bullet to strike at Superman’s heart.
May Hera forgive us all…. My name is Diana Prince and this is the story of my death.

“Give it up Lex, this time we have you surrounded”
“Indeed, champion of the world. An entire community dedicated to policing the world, led by an alien, how ironic”
“Words wont help you this time Lex”
“No then how about an army of the worlds finest lawyers, hell ill be out of the court room so quickly, you would think it was me that had super speed”
“Not this time Lex, this time is different. This time I will see to it that you pay for your crimes”
“What gives you the right to judge me, you’re not even human”
“Some would argue the same thing about you”
“Touché Superman, then allow me to make a deal with you”
“Nothing you say Lex would ever make me…”
“Oh save the good boy scout routine, I’m sure this will interest you”
Tapping a simple button beneath his desk Kal-El turns to see the view screen, in a metal room, in a single chair sits the woman Superman values beyond all else, Lois Lane, a human female, who has slowly become Clark’s brightest yellow sun, for it is her that gives him strength, makes him feel he is invulnerable and able to save the entire race. Yet as he stares at his greatest love slowly coming around to find herself a prisoner. He’s forced to watch her face as panic sets in, turning away from the horror for a single second he sees Lex’s smile and knows how much he is enjoying this.
“Lex I swear I will kill you where you stand”
“Go ahead, it wont save her and I’m tired of our stupid dance routine. For years I have tried to kill you, but you just don’t take the hint. Every time you come back stronger and more goddamn righteous in the publics eye, an alien. Where as I, a human genius born to rule over society, destined to bring about human advancement a thousand years, am denied by you and your goddamn ideals. Well I’ve had enough, and like the four-year-old kid on the playground, I say this. If I can’t have it, no one can”
Clark moves with the speed of a god, his strength tampered by a life dedicated to good, he pushes Lex hard against a wall, his arm buried tight beneath the mans neck. Lex has played this dance so many times, he knows he cannot move or escape, nor does he try. Just as simply as he knows the man of steel will not harm him, no matter how much he wants to.
“Where is she?”
“By the time you find her, she will be dead”
“If she dies at your hands, I will make sure you pay Luther”
“A life time in prison would be worth it, just so long as I get to see you suffer”
“Superman, put Lex down”
The dark cape flapping in the open window breeze is instantly recognised, as is his dull commanding tone.
“We’re wasting time, if were to find Louis we need the whole team on this one and now”
“He can tell us”
“But he isn’t going to and Lois’s life is in danger. I’ve already got the rest out looking for her, you need to join them”
“What about you?”
“I don’t have super speed or any other gifts that will help me locate her faster than you or Wally, so leave Lex to me”
A red blur is all that can be perceived by the human eye as it streaks past the caped crusader and out of the open window, in seconds dancing in to the sky.
“HAHAHAHA you will fail, she’s as good as dead”
“I pray for your sake she isn’t Lex, because even the league wouldn’t be enough to stop him from finding you”
“Let him come”
“I’m afraid first you will have to talk to me”
“If I’m not afraid of a god, what makes you think I’m afraid of a bat?”
“I’ll let you answer that, after we’ve finished”

“Superman to Watchtower are you receiving?”
“This is watchtower” The Martian’s voice comes as a comfort, no one can co-ordinate the league’s search better than him.
“I need a status report now”
“Zatanna is attempting to locate Lois through a location spell, the Green Lanterns, Kyle, John and Hal Jordan are attempting a large scale search with the help of their power rings from Earth’s upper orbit. Wally is covering the ground, whilst Diana is covering the air. I have also sent out the call to both the Teen Titans as well as the JSA. They have already begun to mobilise search groups”
“If I know Lex he will have her someplace right under our noses, it will be lead proof and sound proof to prevent me from locating her, have the GL’s use their rings to scan for Lead”
“Understood”
Over the following minutes that pass, the search became world wide, any member of any team still loyal to Superman begins to search, but in the end it would be of no use. For after forty-two minutes, it would be the Green Lanterns power rings that would uncover the true tenacity of Lex’s crime. Buried deep beneath Clark’s own fortress of solitude would be the final insult to the symbol of all that was good, and the final resting place of Louis Lane.
To Be Continued…
