The Alien Worm known as Mr.Mind pulled his ace in the hole. With Grodd seemingly joining forces with Vixen and Storm, Gorilla City was left in a psche-slavery by the manipulative worm.

Using a an amplifier made of vibranium the fiedish alien took control of all the inhabitants of Gorilla City and released Grodd.

Now with Grodd and the heroes gone, Mr.Mind, alongside his Monster Society: Stegron, Clayface and Shadow Thief, lead a group of Gorilla City citizens to a newly found vibranium mine.

Meanwhile, T'Challa, lord of Wakanda-the Wakandan Avenger Black Panther, has been fooled into believing a crime against his soldiers was at the hands of Gorilla City.

THE NEWLY FOUND MINE
'Clayface lead these pathetic animals to the vein. We don't need much. Gotham City awaits. The price they will pay for this material is beyond your wildest dreams!'. The super brain of the catepillar constantly thinks ahead. His little hands rub together with glee.

'The fools have all been deceived. The newest member of the Monster Society is leading the ebony goddesses right to Hades!'. The worm chuckles at himself as Stegron stands stern watching his master.

'Newest member? Grodd? I once had the 'pleasure' of being on a team with Grodd. There's nothing like pulling a knife out of your back when you're stabbed by Donkey Kong', Shadow Thief recalls.

'That's funny. Grodd said the same thing about you.'

Shadow Thief looks at the worm, partly in amazement and partly in disgust.

'Prepare those simian hover crafts to carry our cargo Shadow Thief. The day is ours!'

As Shadow Thief opens the compartments on each of the hover cycles the first of the gorilla miners drops his payload.

'Ah, King Solovar. I know in your subconscious you wish to slpatter me about the jungle floor. Believe it or not your hospitality has been overwhelming and the fact that you would help me steal from the Wakandan Mines shows your true alliance to me. It also shows your allegience.'

The Leader of Gorilla City tries to fight the worm's mind lock and for a split second clears his mind. But the evil Venutian cranks up his power....

'Quite a bit of Will Power but useless none the less. Don't worry Solovar it's not all bad.. I am taking Grodd off your hands.. HeheheHahaha!" The worm begins to laugh.

MOMENTS LATER
'500 pounds, just as you asked Mr.Mind', Clayface says.
'500 pounds doesn't seem like much. We need more!!' Shadow Thief implies.

Mr.Mind sends out a visual telepathic message to his team.
'The metal is called vibranium. In it's refined state, it is as light as cloth. It's properties have only been tapped by the Wkandans. With my advanced mind, we'll create weapons, weapons of defense and many other profitable uses for the vibranium. I've chosen Gotham because there are many desperate people there being hunted by Bats and Birds, that seem plentiful there. Where else is there to try our new toys? Come now we have a boat to catch.'

Stegron hops on a hover cycle. His mind amplified by Mr.Mind's telepathy. He instictively starts it as though his brain just advanced a 1000 times. Mr.Mind climbs off his shoulder and down to a small glass container.

Clayface and Shadow Thief each grab a Hover Cycle.

Mr.Mind turns to Solovar and sends a telepathic message to him...
'Your city is under seige from the Wakandan King. Your palace has crumbled. Go!!! Defend it to the death!!!'

The Hover Cycles take off to the southwest. The Gorilla Miners, all 24, charge back to their city....
