It had been nearly a month since the aliens tried to Invade New York. What a fiasco. One clever alien survived the Invasion.

He stared in deep thought, his mindless bodyguard stood behind him, watching over his master.

Every now and then Stegron's tongue flung forward to taste the air around him..

"So let me get this straight, you had a small army of men and nearly took over New York and defeated Spiderman?"

"You sound surprised friend. You know better than anyone what mental powers like ours can do. Yes I had created a Monster Society, myself, Stegron, Clayface, ShadowThief, the Human Fly and the android Chrysallis. We brought some of the so-called super-types to their knees!!
Black Cat, Vixen, Hawkman, Hawkgirl..Spiderman. We had the Spiderman, he was at our Mercy...."

"Impressive. Of course that list is not as impressive as Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. Let me guess, well I don't really have to guess because I can read your mind. By the way it is your move."

"Yes, I am still working on it. I had made contact with aliens who had wiped out the NOVA Corps. They were headed to earth and helped orchestrate their arrival. At STAR Labs the android Chysallis sat idle in a cryogenic chamber, the scientists knew what they had found but they didn't know how important it was.
Inside the Chrysallis android were 3 aliens. They were the communicaters to the aliens."

"Interesting. You know you can never trust aliens or humans?"

"No. You are right. That's what has brought me here to your palace in paradise."

Stegron's tongue slides forward. Drool drips from his month to the ivory granite floor.

"I am trying to get a read on your friend, primitive character he is."

"You may try. I have control of what little mind he has. And what little mind he has is shielded by mine. My move is complete."

The tiny alien worm moves of his perch and returns a minute later.

"It is now your turn."

"Nice. I had read that the aliens were defeated by Spiderman and a host of others."

"Lies of course!! We had Spiderman defeated in a sky scraper construction site. The aliens decided it was time to make a move. They didn't trust me. They attacked everything including my Monster Society, a fatal mistake."

"My move is complete. I am trying to take the bridge. So, what are you saying?"

"In the end I was humiliated!!"

"How so?"

"I was forced to not only save Spiderman but to work with him and the other supertypes that I had beaten earlier. Together, the alien invasion ceased and we were victorious!!"

"So you left New York with your tails between your legs.. no pun intended."

"That was actually an intelligent response. Trying to take over Alaska to get the Siberian bridge to Asia is a smart strategy but fruitless."

Mr.Mind leaves his peerch again and returns with a smirk on his face.

"I beleive with this roll I will win."

"That was a hell of a move my ingenious friend."

The roll of dice can be heard in with in minutes Mr.Mind has collected about a 100 small yellow wooden pieces.

"I believe the game is mine my simian friend."

"Yes. My hat's off to you."

"Guards. Please tell Solovar that our guests are to be well taken of."

The Leader of Gorilla City walks in to the palace. His eyes appear to be glazed over.

Grodd stands from the opposite side of the Risk board and looks down upon his opponent.

"Slave. Take Mr.Mind and his bodyguard and give them the best accomedations. It's the least I can do for the entity that freed me and enslaved Gorilla City...Hahahaha!!!!"

"Thank you Grodd. You should sit on the throne, it is where you truly belong."

As Solovar leads Grodd's guests away, the citizens of Gorilla City look at their new king with the same blank stare as Solovar had..

Grodd looks on and laughs and enjoys his seat on the throne...
