3 reasons I can think of why Marvel is considering selling their majority of shares to Disney. Firstly, Marvel wants to play safe and avoid another bankruptcy, if it ever happens again. Secondly, Marvel is looking for more funds and investors. Disney being super wealthy could possibly make that happen. Thirdly, Marvel is thinking of expanding its animation department and Disney has the experience and expertise to make that happen as well.
I honestly hope this is just a business move and not a creative move. Because if Disney/Marvel starts to dish out comics like The Ultimate Team Up: Mickey Mouse & Spider-Man, I'll be the first to drop all Marvel books and stick to DC Comics for good.
This is crazy news!
