This was a usual occurance for when Bulma would try to talk her one and only daughter. Bura was like a teenager wishing this moment would be over as soon as it started. Bulma gave her rigid daughter a smile and toyed with her napkin.
Bura drummed her fingers over the desk in annoyance and frustration. She was wound up and fairly upset with the last few cliental calls. Her brother Trunk was of course no help to the situation. He was blabbling on about things that were of no use to Bura. The uncorded phone was nearly dropped from her ear 7 times.
" Trunks-kun if you dont mind.. Its lunch time for me.......so i got to go.. You know important buissness deals.. with expensive people.. " His voice was already turned to scolling her about her expensive lunches. It fell on a definte click when she hung up on him.
" Like you know what it takes to run this place.. u purple haired freak....." She paused for a moment and ran her hands through the lavender strands of her own. " Strike that..last comment. " Bura then eyed through her data date book and groaned at the name she read.
" Youre father an i miss you Bura-chan.. "
" Well corperate life doesn't leave me alot of time.. "
" I wish you would visit more often..It's like you don't want to be around us...Is there something wrong..? " Bura toyed with her napkin as well, but more out of boredom.
" No Im fine.. I keep telling you that.. Why won't you listen to me " It was a true art to be angry and not blow up the table before them.
" Well it's just that after Goten passed away.. youve set up a wall between us and you. The only way we know you are okay is by setting up meetings with you through your secretary.. I mean is that anyway to treat you mother?" Brua felt both ashamed and angered.
" Well i have to provide for myself.. and u and dad.....It isnt easy...And Im over Goten.passing.. I mean there isnt anything we could do..... " Brua didnt go any further for fear of her own tears.
" Well. since u are over Goten I guess i can give u this. Your father didnt want to go anyhow.
" Huh.. what is this..? "
" Its a very important dinner party that you must attend! " Bura eyed the tickets in her hand.
" A Dinner party? "
" Yes, and Capsule Corp needs to have the best front girl for the job.. and that is you Bura. We all know how Trunks cant hold his liquer..and let's not forget the horrible dressing styles he uses.. " Bura and Bulnma both cringed.
" Well I guess this means ill need a escort too.. "
" You mean to bring a date with you! "
" Well i cant go alone...Its a dinner party. Im sure by now they think im inlove with someone else anyhow.. " Bulma could feel unfortable feelings ebbing between them.
" Since it is settled.. lets order! "
