Posted by Captain of the SDF-1 on July 4, 2001, 8:55 pm The first question is the timer the sliders aquired in "Reversal of Fate", which Mallory constructed one with some components from the Egyptian one (only capable of landing the sliders within 400 miles). From the episodes after that, the timer is a lot refined with multiple functions, since the timer is restricted to San Francisco and no malfunctions had ever happened to it until it is rendered useless in "Logan". What I wonder is whether the Advanced Timer was rebuilt to have a laser gyro that allows them to land in San Francisco? Also, I want to know whether this timer in its current state is still necessary to link with Logan's cybernetic one after Quinn 1 rendered them useless. If both are needed to link them together and slide, should the timer land the sliders using the timer with the laser gyro (landing within two miles) or through Logan's (landing within 400 miles as proven in "Double Cross"? The other bugging question is about "Takeover". I like the alt history plot but how can Wade, Remmy, Maggie and Max still remember the events of "All in Good Time" (the only Kromagg ep in season 4) since the ending of the ep changed history by Quinn and slid off elsewhere instead of the Kromagg-occupied world. Or are they referring about their stay in High Tech world in "Reunions", where there are Kromagg prisoners in the prison complex? I like to gave kudos to Jayelle Carey, Jason Gaston and Nigel G. Mitchell as my favorite writers for writing and creating IS. I would like to hear (we all hope) the chance of these three to write for Weiss and Torme and having to film any new eps in the real San Francisco. As I read these eps, it's like picturing the sliders on the picture tube and on location in San Francisco. I am hard at work in writing at least four eps; one on alt history, one on an Earth altered by sliding experiments and a dramatic one that deals with one of the sliders. The last one is about introducing a new villian to take the place of Logan. It won't be an evil Logan, Rickman or an evil Arturo double. I'm thinking of a villian that has qualities of a mad scientist or the Master from Dr. Who. However, I'm still trying to get my first script off the hard drive. I would take a long way to swallow the idea of having Quinn 1 as a villain. Any plans about him, though. I once tried to think for a script pitch which the sliders land on a still-runned Alcatraz or meeting up with a Captain Maggie Beckett who joined with the Navy and commanding an aircraft carrier. But, I couldn't think up a senario that could work with either one idea or both of them. I am open for a suggestion. That's all. Be waiting for the next story to slide out a wormhole. --The Captain
