Wearing the WIR Records T-shirt that gently
covered my heart as if it was a hug from
ERNIE OLDFIELD himself, my guest visit to
MUSIK MELODIES show on Sunday, June 22, 2008
began with a song dedication to ERNIE by
KATIE MELUA "I Cried For You".
The spontaneous recollections of ERNIE OLDFIELD's
music peaked with his unforgettable "Hold Me Tight."
Before my remembrance of WIR Records top
Country/Pop artists reached a finale with
JIM REEVES' "God Be With You Till We Meet Again"
I was inspired to leave the show with a few
last words:
"JUST IN CASE my eyes don't see tomorrow
Just in case I never get the chance to hold you once again
My dearest friend, there's something I must tell you now -
The last thought on my mind will be of you,
And the last word from my lips will be your name ..."
