Also, I don't know that I would consider trying to walk on to the Virginia Tech football would be "rolling the dice" because talent and hard work mean much more than luck. If you feel you have the talent and desire to be a Virginia Tech football player, trying to walk on would've been the right decision. If you're unsure, I think you're best served with where you are.
