It's tough to prove yourself when you get very little attention, or reps with the 1st two units because the 3rd sometimes is way out of sync. Good luck you guys wherever you go, or just decide to stay and get a degree. You showed great toughness hanging in there for this long and we sweated out last Thursday also thinking the same could have happened to Jesse. The walkon route is a very tough way to go. I have often thought that prepping at FUMA or Hargrave may be the way to go for young guys who are thinking of walking on.

There have been BCE. They names that I've heard are Myers, Perlozzo, and McClelland. Not so sure I agree with these. Why would you spend 2 or 3 years working with these guys and then cut them to make room for incoming walk ons that are green. I was especially surprised to see Mike and Thomas get cut since both looked to have been promising this spring. Thomas was the leading rusher this spring I believe. Both these guys at least know they can play at this level and persue another school if they choose to. I agree with the this quote Thomas made in the article
"[Hite] said I wasn't mentally there all the time, but I wasn't there because I wasn't getting any reps," McClelland said. "Every guy on the team, whether he's on scholarship or a walk-on, needs a little attention from the coaches. It's hard to get any better when you're just standing off to the side watching."
