I'm so sorry. I lost my dad 2 1/2 years ago, and I know how difficult it is. I'm glad your father died peacefully. He sounds like he was a great man. And I love the idea of spreading his ashes across the US. What a neat way of honoring him. You're in my thoughts and prayers! Dani

Oh ((((((((Lisa))))))) God be with your dad & with you. I am not online hardly at all & i just per chance got an e-mail from Betty 2 of your dad's passing. Bless you sweet girl. My heart, my prayers & my sympathy go out to you & your family. WHEN MY time comes..THIS is how i want to go. Peacefully in my sleep. You couldn't want anything better to wish for as when i lost my Allan to suicide which is the worst kind of loss & you just be thankful your dad didn't suffer. I Know the wounds are deep sweetie...if there is anything i can do will you please just let me know? You have my number if you just need to talk. I am doing the best i can in my situation & getting mental health assistance but maybe the help i have already gotten may help you as well...maybe i can just pass it along. God bless my friend. This is a very difficult time for you, and his family. What a wonderful way to pass though. He fell asleep like my mom did, and just never woke up again. That was her wish, and she got it. He sounds like a very, very special man, and his memories will live on in your heart, and make you smile every time you think about him. Lisa, I am so very sorry that you lost your father. No matter how our parents die, the wound is deep and the sorrow is a long time passing. I pray that you can take strength from the happy times the two of you shared and it helps you mend. I know that he took a big piece of your heart with him. May God grant you peace. Nancy

Seesthru, Sorry your father passed away so suddenly. My father has been gone over 16 years now & the fun times & memories I have of him are still there with me too.

Very sorry to hear this. Sometimes I still find it hard to believe my dad is gone and it's been nearly 10 years. There is no good way to die but a lot of people say they hope they go peacefully in their sleep. At my dad's funeral the pastor said "He's now whole and free." I've thought of those words whenever a loved one died since, human or animal.
