There are no holds, forwards or address changes for my address that could have accidentally applied to my address. There’s no mail for me in the back, the postal lady checked.
Our carrier is a sub until our regular carrier returns. The post office said that sometimes the sub will take mail back if the box is stuffed but I got my mail on Monday and checked it again on Friday morning so I know that it wasn’t stuffed in 3 days. He’s going to check all of the mail boxes to see if any of them contain my mail.
The lady at the PO said mail can take 12-14 days to arrive and to give it another week and if I’m still not getting mail to come back. She’s acting as if it’s no big deal when this has never happened, not once since 1998. Every now and then we get a flurry of other people’s mail being delivered to the wrong person but it’s not for a long span of time.
I’m hoping that it’s something as simple as now that the sub is on alert that he’ll be more careful if indeed he’s the problem.
A while back I got a few emails from my electric company about paying my bill online because of changes within the post office. Bills were now taking 12-14 days to arrive and by going online it would ensure that my payment(s) wouldn't be late. So maybe that's what happening. I usually get my electric bill around this time and it's due the 6th of the following month. I had to go online and print out a copy.
