AND not just any ole job either!! I applied for this place about two months ago & when I did not get a response, thought oh well, just another one of those that have gone by the wayside...then I got a call for an interview and went last week..right up my alley...I am very technically minded (ie fireplaces, burners etc) and it is customer service/order desk for a burner company..Well turns out the president knew of my former company and knew all the people I used to work with..they used to supply my former company..it was old home week asking about various people we had lost touch with..but then we got down to the serious interview and I think he was very impressed because of all the technical questions I kept asking him...and by the fact that I know what controlled chaos is..(any order desk in a heating company during busy season is nuts beyond your wildest imagination.)..I thrive on that and am not the stressed out type..sitting here has made me more stressed.....So I got called for a second interview and went this a.m. to meet with the two other ladies on the customer service team..we chatted for at least an hour, yakking about trucks, discounts, parts etc etc...then the president said give me a few minutes ..so he came back in about 15 minutes and offered me t he job..and FOR MORE MONEY THAN I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they get paid every week..and it's only 15 minutes from home....and when I left the receptionist who is an older lady and a big sweetheart gave me a BIG HUG!!!!!!!!!!! She said she was happy they hired me...and I controlled myself all the way to the car, got in the car and to the light and started crying and screaming my head off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the birds think I have gone mad.. ..I am nerved up like he!! now though ...I start Tuesday at 9 but my hours will be 8:30-5 I have been looking for a job since June of 2008 when my former company gave us notice they were letting us go as of December 2009. I am older and obese and none of it mattered..FINALLY... they got almost a thousand applications...WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW talk about an ego boost...I GOT A JOB IGOTAJOB I GOT AJOBIGOT AJOB..
