I have to admit that I was pretty underwhelmed by this issue. It's easily my least favorite of the "Avengers: Fairy Tales" series--which is saying a lot considering what a huge fan I am of "The Wizard of Oz".
Utterly uninspired writing, with some of the most illogical pairings of Avengers/fairy tale characters imaginable. Thor = Scarecrow...WTF?!?! Captain America as the Cowardly Lion?! Even the obvious choice of Iron Man as the Tin Woodsman falls flat.
Plus more of the same predictable Bendis-esque characterization of Wanda as a psychopathic baddie.
Not to mention what is quite possibly some of the worst art ever created for a comic. It's such a shame that the cover artist didn't do the interiors...
At best, the whole thing deserves a C-, if not a D. The art gets a solid F.
