Another out would be that everything Avengers Disassembled on is due to a massive power jump. Let's say around the time of Jan's intemperate drunken slip Wanda's powers had matured to the point where she could tap into an outside source to augment the scope of what she could do. Trouble was the first source she tapped into was too powerful (fill in the blank as to what source would do. A nascent cosmic cube, the Beyonder's diemnsion, whatever) and that's what has driven her mad. Hank Pym was able to handle a problem in Firestar's mutation so he or someone else could then fix this problem. We'd still get our Wanda back but occasionally she could augment her powers but each time she and the reader would wonder if this would be the time that she tapped into too much and went all Mad Wanda again...

: Here is my idea to explain the Scarlet Witch's
: turn into "Psycho b*&ch powerful enough
: to alter reality on a world-wide scale"
: using the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid)
: Rule:
:
: The "Secretly taken over by an outside
: source which slowly drove the Scarlet Witch
: insane" excuse using The Lore Loophole.

: (Look up Lore in

: An alternate similar excuse would involve
: Chthon (

: explain how Chthon got out the "Trapped
: in Wundagore Mountain" problem.
