Posted by James Hunter on 1/13/2007, 7:38 am, in reply to "The death of the Scarlet Witch (spoilers for New Avengers 26)" I enjoyed seeing hawkeye again and I'm going to be very interested to see what happens to both characters post-Civil War. The art really didn't appeal to me, but the story did a lot to bring clint back to the forefront (and it's already been revealed that there are plans for him in one of the Avengers titles). I don't see this issue did any more damage to Wanda as a character though, and if anything it made her more repairable following "DisAssembled" (here I actually felt sorry for her, I didn't in "DisAssembled" though) Cheers. I actully disagree, I hated the art but I thought this was a good issue. I don't think they've destroyed Wanda at all (if anything, Bendis has actually made it easier to bring Wanda back as a heroine).
: Scarlet Witch has been destoryed and the
: writers aren't going to bring her back.
: Instead of trying to rehabilitate her
: character the writers are starting the
: character over from scratch without memories
: and without her powers, basically as a empty
: shell that the writers can fill in.
