I'm sure they're there, but I did Google Earth street view all along the wooded areas of the bypass and I couldn't find a single one. On the other hand, the imaging was done in summer, so it's a wall of deciduous foliage. Would be a lot easier in the winter to see them.
I was able to find the house with the two palmettos in front. Thanks for passing that along! And both palms look exceedingly healthy.
Certainly *among* the most northerly, inland, long-term surviving, eastern U.S. palmettos.
