Happy Labor Day. Tough year for me as I just came back less than a month ago, and with the lack of fertilization, some of my results are more disappointing than normal. Not all was lost though.
Thai Black blooming again. This flower just started 2 weeks ago.
One of 11 crape myrtles. Everyone died back to the ground after last winter, and despite coming back very late in some instances, they are all alive. Late to bloom this year though.
I think I found my Purple Magic too. I forgot I planted it, then I forgot where I planted it. This one popped up late last year and I thought it might just be a seedling from the Sioux next to it, but this has different color leaves. I know it probably wasn't the best time, but I moved it now while I had a spot available.
I grew this from seed from Lucas in FL. He said it was Yucca glauca. It flowered for the first time this spring and now it is starting to branch. I am not familiar with Y. glauca and have never seen a picture of a multi-headed glauca. Could it be Y. elata?
