That's funny you got them off of your pool. I used to hatch a bunch of them each year when I was a teenager that I would collect from my neighbor's pool. Since it was above ground, tree frogs were the only amphibians that could lay their eggs there. The neighbors got rid of the pool years ago, but there is still a pretty large population of tree frogs at my parents house 15 years later.
Gray tree frogs are still one of the only frog calls that I can recognize. Years of hearing them on your windows will do that though.
