get that cold , and considerably colder .
That is why there are no actual long term Cocos here . We have had a run of mildish winters since 2010 , and last winter's
cold attack was really middling , compared to long term here .
I have lived here since 1952 , and I have seen a number of extremes . The Beachside can (but not necessarily )be a little warmer in these events . It all depends on the direction of the cold air flow . Due North to NNE will help , but due North to NNW and even west , equalizes the area . The real bad freezes here are always accompanied by all night winds .
