Hard to see, but I found a few new cheap annuals. Philodendron and Fatsia for $4 each.
Aucuba was burned fairly bad, bad doesn't look terrible after trimming off the black.
Yucca glauca flowering for the first time. Since it's never happened before, I don't know how they behave after flowering. Will it die? Since I don't think it can trunk, I doubt it will branch.
Basjoos are off to a slow start. Conspicuously missing is my amorphallus konjac, which has not returned yet. Alvin warned me, but I'm not giving up hope yet.
New lasagna bed extension. Hard to tell now, but I will have 8 different banana clumps in the front yard this year; 2 basjoo, 2 Grand Nain, 3 Thai Black, and 1 Ensete maurelli.
All the minors got beat up pretty badly too but are starting to grow out of it. The trachy looked fine earlier in the year. I unwrapped it while I was home for Easter and it got snowed on more than once. Many of the frond were drooping down to the ground and it looked terrible. I cut most of those off even though they were green.
Yucca White Shed starting to branch, and one of Rob's yuccas is flowering for the first time. I lost track of what was planted where, but this was easily the fastest grower. All growth seen is new this year as it was mowed to the ground overwinter by rabbits or deer.
Brown Turkey and Celeste figs also survived as well as the cannas. All callas also survived with no protection which I find odd considering all the other damage I had.
Another new lasagna bed. Trying potatoes for the first time.
