I'm a little jealous Brian. While your region has a reputation for having a cool climate, you can grow nice trunking palms that would have a very hard time here. It looks like we will have our first 100F day this week (maybe before June 1st), and yet the airport in the closest town to me has gotten down to -2F the last two Winters in a row.
I'm sometimes envious of places with less variation in their climate than we have. Reaching extremes of both hot and cold, flood and drought can be frustrating to deal with.
I know the grass isn't usually greener in reality though. I am sure you get frustrated with what mother nature throws at you up there sometimes as well.
