Question regarding Meds...

If I squint hard enough, I might see a little cerifera in it.
Are med fan palms separate sexes?
I have both that flower most years, but only get seeds on my regular meds. That looks like a female if I were to guess.
I also have two cerifera, one is pruned as a single trunking type and one that just wants to cluster. I finally this spring got around to de-thatching the clustering one and found a dead trunk from awhile ago. It made me wonder if once the primary trunk dies ( Meds and needles primarily), that it clusters profusely if left to its own?
I don't mind it where it is, its under a live oak and looks good spread out.
