This is as amateur a reply as you're gonna get, Jay, but my first thought is FIRST, things in the Mid Atlantic have GOT to start warming up! There's still accumulating snow in the forecast for this coming Saturday!
Warmer weather and lots of sunshine on your Musa will, I think, correct the issues it's having.
When a teen, I lost a Musa Nana and I'm still not sure why. Possibly root rot, but I don't know.
Plants are weird sometimes. They crap out when we keep them in our homes and dote over them. You wonder how the heck they can survive in the wild with no one watering them, feeding them, or taking care of their pest issues.
