I like the weathered industrial look of the hardscaping in the Butia pic. I've envisioned that but have never seen it done. I had considered an electric power themed one for one of my landscape zones but because it wouldn't add to my property value and I couldn't find the items needed, I scrapped the idea. I chose an olde English country theme and it looks great.
Are those S. Minors or S. Lousianas in the thatched roof pic?
Plano has some darn nice fences. I can tell that a lot of the fences I see in your posts can survive some strong winds. I also doubt White-tailed deer could make it over the taller ones.
