again, without flowers or fruit no sure ways to know what you have. IMHO and FWIW the foliage in THIS picture look more similar to that of the mystery plant originally posted than to the N.Z. laurel first suggested that said, plants can vary significantly from the "normal" or "typical" forms and can fool even the expert at times so think whatever it really may be: "laurel" or whatever is still up for grabs. good luck solving the mystery and hopefully sharing your findings.
