Good observations. I do plan to do beginning vs end of season pictures. I always find those fascinating. I have always believed royals are some of the least hardy but they did surprisingly well. Areca palms seem to be the least hardy around here. They just don't hold up well to freezes and turn all brown.
I am encouraged my coconut is growing. Pushed up about 7" in 3 weeks...not bad for January. But who knows...it could be on the decline inside. Fingers crossed. I'll know more by April. If it dies, I may consider another coconut. We'll see.
