Seriously though, Gary once told me that my sabal palmettos that defoliated every other year or so could eventually die. After I moved from where they were planted, they partially defoliated 2 more years in a row and never recovered from the z7 lows. They lived unprotected for 15 years without heat but Sabal Palmetto cannot take frond loss very well in frequent winter cold evidently, here anyways. You made it Will! Congrats!
