Kind of looks like a hoax because the image has such detail and is so complete.
I'm not saying it's a hoax!
Just saying it looks really good for a 52 million year old fossil.
I also wonder how many tree species of today had ancestors from that time period that so closely resembled their modern descendants. Evolution works slowly, but 52 million years is enough time for great differences to appear.
