I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this plant looking so good in Tulsa, if they survive in 5b regions of New Mexico. I am a little surprised that it looks so good considering how much frost and winter rain it has seen though. Our winters can throw a variety of weather at you in a pretty short time.
After the we had been very dry leading up to the recent deep freeze. Then we had days below freezing, followed in short order by thunderstorms with heavy down pours, and sunny weather with temps up into the 70F range.
I like any plant that takes all of that and still looks healthy....other than maybe eastern red cedars.
