I only protect the two date palms, a large sago, and the small butias. No heat lights for the butias though. I haven't protected the sabals in years as they are too large to cover. Oh I do have several large citrus trees in ground that I construct a greenhouse over each season also. You can connect on the link under my name to see those if you wish.
