I was forecast to be 12-14F but it got down to 8F . I didn't have any of my Butias or Med Fans protected at all . Hopefully they will come back from the trunks . The Butia in the front in a great microclimate should do decently I expect .
Hell , I was a degree away from a disaster with my Palmettos . Why can't they get better at short term forecasts ? I guess it's a pretty dynamic weather system with a lot of moving parts . If I knew it would get to 8F I would've had the Butias and Med Fans protected . I guess next time I see a super bad cold spell coming down I shouldn't assume the forecast will be correct , even a forecast less than a day old lol .
This Princeps looks good .
