Masayang bagong taon sa inyo rin, Stan.
One of my favorite new year experiences ever was when I was living in Cuenca, Batangas, in the Philippines. You're probably well aware that Filipinos love fireworks to ring in the new year. We'll, we had an apartment outside of town right off of the highway, but it was a lot of jungle behind our apartment. We got to watch and hear the fireworks from our kitchen window. All we could see was the fireworks in the sky and the scattered campfires in the dark going up the mountain.
It reminded me of the last scene of Return of the Jedi, when the ewoks were celebrating on Endor. Music fireworks, and campfires. It was great.
Kano ako, Pinoy kayo?
