I think they are awesome too, Brian. In my last few months in the Philippines I dug up a seedling (more like 1 or 2 gallon size) of something like a pritchardia or licuala from the woods behind the hospital in Calapan City. I potted it up and put on my front porch. I wasn't really into plants back then, so it didn't hit me how cool that was until years later.
I dug up an awesome palm that was growing like a weed in a vacant forested lot. How many of us on this board would pay to be able to just dig up the palms we wanted like weeds from the woods around our towns?
