Ah,nah...the only snakes would be gartersnakes.They eat the mice.
Scorpions? Never see one in the bay area at least.
Spiders? Plenty of those..mostly wolf spiders,Daddy long legs,and those funnel web makers that look like wolf spiders. Maybe a Jumping spider- I like them,cool how they follow your moves.
I cant remember any time when a Rattlesnake showed up in town. In the hills? Sure. Even then, you have to hike miles past the last subdivision.
