I'm supposed to see a 15F on January 2nd , so I decided to protect it today . It's never been through 15F without protection and I don't want to chance it . Hopefully I'll stay 8A and possibly even 8B if their forecast for next week is wrong . It would definitely be nice to stay above 12F for this winter since my next least hardy palms are my Butias and Med Fans which will burn at 12F .
Before the frond bronzing 22F I had here December 10th :
Today , and without 2 years of skirt . It was getting to be a hassle to protect it with all that new growth and old skirt . :
All the Christmas lights , all the way up the trunk , are wrapped and ready for the cold :
Thanks for looking .
