I remember that excerpt... was a memorable one for me as well. I think it is somewhat important to know whether this faster growth is typical for gemenisectus, because princeps, while beautiful, is painfully slow to trunk versus other trachycarpus. It may be gemenisectus is just better suited to warmer climates and my soil, because some princeps have seemed to grow faster than mine in cooler climates.
