That microclimate makes me feel a lot better now that I know 4F won't totally defoliate it like it did for the ones in the backyard , and because it doesn't totally defoliate it spends a lot more energy photosynthesizing and growing bigger fronds and a fatter trunk . That one in the front is much bigger than the 2 in the back even though they are about the same age .
